On December 21st we celebrated Christmas at St. Joseph's Community College. The students showcased their many talents from set dancing to ball room dancing, duets to solo performances. The festive atmosphere was felt by all members of the school community. We were delighted to have our Ukrainian students and teacher Ms.Oksana Semenova share with us their cultural traditions, singing Christmas carols and performing a ball room dance set, this was accompanied by Irish students taking to the stage to perform the brush dance and a set dance.
Santa and the Grinch made an appearance on the day and hot chocolates were enjoyed by everyone. A very special moment today for our secretary Carmel Shalloo who after working at Kilkee Community College for 30 years has retired. Carmel received a standing ovation from the school community and we thank Carmel for her dedication and commitment to St. Joseph's Community College.
